Fun Day - 7 October 2006	An all round fun filled family day!
Visit by Moderator - 29 October 2006	During the visit by The Right Rev Alan McDonald he was presented with a cheque for £1500 for a charity of his choosing.  The cheque was presented by Ian Steven, at that time Chairperson of the Communications Group.
Easter Daybreak Service - 8 April 2007	Open-air Easter Daybreak Communion service (7.30am) followed by breakfast in the church hall.
Celebration Dinners held from October 2006 - June 2007	Our Events Team prepared the food and served over 600 members and friends over a series of 9 dinners.  No mean task! The dinners were held as the main event during our Year of Celebration of the 50th anniversary of the building/official opening of the Sanctuary.  After each meal everyone made their way into the Sanctuary for a short service. The photos show some of our members and friends enjoying their meal, and a flurry of activity in the kitchen.
Visit to Glasgow Cathedral followed by afternoon tea in the Church - 5 October 2007	This guided tour of Glasgow Cathedral was enjoyed by over 50 members and friends.  Following the visit, afternoon tea was served in the Church by our Events Team.
Souper Sunday - 7 October 2007	This was a special service to conclude our Year of Celebration in connection with the 50th Anniversary of the building and official opening of our Sanctuary.  Well over 400 people attended the service after which everyone was invited into the Main Hall for a soup and sandwich lunch.  The photographs show the Sanctuary prior to the service commencing; the Main Hall with those near to the front viewing a slide show of old Church photos and the South Hall where memorabilia was displayed and Commemorative Mugs were being issued.  Memorabilia was also on display in the North Hall and, throughout the event, videos of a Senior Bible Class outing (1991) and Choir concert (1994) were being shown.
Alastair McDonald 'In Concert' - 30 October 2007	Over 300 people attended Alastair's concert which was held in the Sanctuary - a fitting location given that Alastair makes clear his strong Christian faith during his performances.  They enjoyed an evening of song and banter from an entertainer  who certainly knows how to entertain! After the 'In Concert', tea and coffee etc were served in the Main Hall.  Proceeds from the event will go towards the Hill Project.
Burns Supper - 18 January 2008	As always - a complete sell out.  That says it all!
Jumble Sale - 26 April 2008	Always a popular event - busy from start to finish and lots of 'bargains'. Over £900 raised.

Craft Fair - 8 November 2008	A busy day in the Church with many taking advantage of the stalls for some early Christmas shopping.  The tea room did a roaring trade!
Bill McMillan 'In Concert' - 14 November 2008	Bill entertained a packed audience in the Church Hall, playing and singing a variety of songs by Elvis, the Eagles, Van Morrison, Michael Buble, Neil Diamond and many more.  Tea/coffee and cake was served by the Events Team at the end of the concert. The event raised the impressive sum of approx £1100.  Marie Curie Cancer Care will benefit by £700, with the remainder being given to the church.
