The Afternoon Guild meets every second Wednesday afternoon at 2pm from October to March. Meetings are opened with a hymn, Bible reading, prayer and this is followed by an invited speaker who will give a short talk. Subjects vary considerably and range from the light-hearted to serious. We occasionally have our entertainment provided by singing groups or have demonstrations of flower arranging, crafts etc. All our meeting are closed with a hymn and benediction and before heading home we have tea and a chat. There are usually about 24 to 30 of us at the meetings. There is a car rota to ensure that those ladies who would not otherwise get to the meetings can be uplifted from their homes. New members are always welcome.
